Spider One von Powerman5000 machte mit IGN for Men ein Interview in dem er auch Marilyn Manson erwähnte: IGN For Men: That used to be over by Universal City, right? Spider: Yeah, but it's gone now. But it used to trip me out when I would go by there. I would think "Why, that's $%&*!@# where they did all that @#$%" And I still get off on seeing like a movie star at the grocery store and stuff. So for me, it's definitely the place to be right now. It's just this bizarre city which is completely based on making up stuff. You know what I mean? But I think that you just have to be careful when you move there to not lose sight that LA in no way represents the rest of the country. I think that you have to balance out the fact that to be inspired by all this sort of big creative machine that's there you have to step aside for a minute and say that it's also a bunch of bull#$%* because when you go on tour and you're in Wisconsin or you're in Tulsa or somewhere, they don't give a #$%*. They just want to rock. And I think that a lot of people who move to LA get fooled that that's sort of the pulse of the country. I think of Marilyn Manson and Courtney Love and all these people who move there and they hang out with sitcom stars and they start believing that this is what matters in life and then they make records that the rest of the country can't relate to. I think that you sort of have to balance yourself when you live there and draw what you can from it, but then sort of put it all aside and realize that your real fan base is sandwiched between LA and New York. Marilyn Manson hat auf der offiziellen Homepage eine neue Nachricht hinterlassen: "Ich schreibe an euch vom Studio, wo wir die letzte Phase der Aufnahmen vervollständigen. Ich habe einen Stummfilm vorbereitet der die Umgebung dokumentieren soll. Ich würde auch gerne ankündigen, dass meine neue Plattenfirma wirklich POSTHUMAN RECORDS heißt und zu Priority Records gehört. Um zu klären, unsere Aufnahme von '5 to1' wird sicht nicht auf dem Door's Tribute Album befinden."
Marilyn Manson's Autobiographie "Long Hard Road Out Of Hell" wurde ins Spanische übersetzt. Es heißt "La larga huida del infierno" und ist bei Mondadori erschienen. Von einer deutschen Übersetzung ist mir leider noch nichts bekannt.

In dieser Wochenausgabe von Kerrang! gibt es ein Foto von Twiggy und Dave Navarro (Gitarrist bei den Red Hot Chilli Peppers) mit Iron Maiden. Es wurde beim Drehen von Iron Maiden's neuem Video in Burbank, Kalifornien, gemacht. Bruce Dickinson meinte: "I suppose they're big Maiden fans so they found their way down to this gravel pit to hang out. They seem very excited about the whole thing." Im Artikel steht auch, dass sich dieser Ort in der Nähe von Twiggy's Hollywood Haus befindet.

In der März-Ausgabe vom Metal Hammer Magazin gibt es ein kurzes Interview mit Dave Wyndorf über Monster Magnet's neues Album. Er wurde gefragt ob es irgendwelche Gäste auf dem Album geben wird und antwortete: "It'll just be the band, although Phil Cavallo who toured with us last time is now a full member of the band. I'd love to get some guests in, but who can you find in Vancouver? I might give the Manson guys a call and see whether they're available... but in the main I guess it'll just be the band."

"Mariyln Manson has scrapped plans to make his "Holy Wood" movie. the star now intends to release two books based on the concept. These will accompany his band's next studio album, which in turn has been re named "Holy Wood (In the Shadows of the Valley of Death)," Manson made these announcements via his marilynmanson.net website on February 28th. He revealed that the first book to be released around the album, will be "a graphic and phantasmagoric novel," while the second will be "a fine art coffee-table book of images created for and inspired by both the album and the novel "Holy Wood." He also disclosed that the name of "Holy Wood's" central character is the "alchemical" Adam Kadmon. The "Holy Wood LP" is described on the website as Manson's "darkest and heaviest offering to date." He responded "I don't know, man! I don't wanna dog the guy or say anything that'll cause chaos. You know, when he first came out, he had the pentagram all over everything, and it was like, 'wow evil'. And then the next album was akk lovey-dovey David Bowie stuff. Der Gitarrist von Zim Zum's neuer Band "Pleistocene" hat bereits die Songs für das neue Album (voraussichtlich unter dem Namen "Post Traumatic Shock") im Olive Room Studio (Chicago) aufgenommen und gemixt. Er ist jetzt zu Zim Zum's neuem Studio im Wicker Park (Chicago), mit Zim Zum gleichzeitig als Produzent und Tontechniker, gefahren. Pleistocene führt zur Zeit immer noch Gespräche mit einigen Major Labels über die Veröffentlichung des Debut-Albums und Live-Auftritte, die für April und Mai geplant sind. Die offizielle Webseite erscheint in 2 Wochen und wird sowohl 4 neue Song Sampler und Details über die neuesten Mitglieder von Pleistocene (inklusive des neuen Sängers Xavior T. Zim Zum war vor einigen Tagen bei einem Powerman 5000/Static - X/Dope Konzert im Rivera Theater in Chicago, wo er mit seiner Freundin lebt. Dort hat man ihn unter anderem mit Tripp von "Dope" gesehen.

Bei der "God and Devil Show" auf entertaindom.com wird Morgen auch Marilyn Manson zu sehen sein. Dies ist eine satirisch animierte Webshow wo die Zuschauer bestimmen ob der Gast in die Hölle oder in den Himmel kommt. Manson wird darin nachdenken, ob er ein wiedergeborener Christ werden soll, wird sich mit dem Teufel schlagen und sogar mit Gott ein Duett mit religiösen Melodien singen.
David Bowie wurde gefragt was er über Manson's Mechanical Animals denkt. Er äußerte sich, im Gegensatz zu früher, ziemlich respektvoll:

Much Music hat irgendwann mal ein Interview mit Marilyn Manson gemacht. Eine Frage war, welche Bücher er liest. Manson antwortete mit: "Das Meiste das ich während der Entstehung von Mechanica Animals gelesen habe war ...Aldous Huxley's Brave New World..." Er erwähnte auch andere Bücher die man aber nur schwer verstehen kann. Von diesem Interview gibt es zwar ein Video, die Qualität ist aber so schlecht, dass ich mich entschieden habe nur ein Screenshot und die Audioaufzeichnung auf die Homepage zu geben.
