Die Dezember Ausgabe von "Alternative Press" enthält auf der Seite 13 ein Manson Statement über "Starfuckers Inc."
The media have been reporting that "Starfuckers Inc.," the hard-rock track on Nine Inch Nails' new album, The Fragile, is a swipe at Marilyn Manson's rise to fame. When asked about the track, Manson was nonplused. "I've heard from Trent's people--not Trent [Reznor] personally--that the song is not directed at me and I should not be insulted," says Manson. "If it is intended for me, I'm quite flattered that someone would acknowledge that I am a star, and that I do find pleasure in fucking a star. I don't take [the song] too seriously. Its most redeeming quality is that it was the only song I was able to remember after listened to the album."

Am 21. Oktober war es so weit, die Premiere von "Astonishing Panorama of the Endtimes" auf MTV. Das Lied hätte sich schon auf dem ACSS-Album befinden sollen, wurde aber gestrichen weil es zum Thema nicht gepaßt hat. Beim Finale von MTV’s “Celebrity Death Match” am 11. November wird Marilyn Manson live als Plastilin-Figuren zu sehen sein. Das A.P.O.T.E.T. - Video kann man sich bereits auf der MTV-Homepage anschauen. Die Original-Version, Clean Edit-Version und die Live-Version, gespielt am 4. Juli in Wiesen, gibt es unter Audio im Real-Format. Der Text wurde natürlich auch ergänzt. Ab November wird es ein neues inoffizielles Marilyn Manson Buch namens "Dissecting Marilyn Manson" geben. Das Buch hat 160 Seiten, ist natürlich auf Englisch und kann schon jetzt bei Amazon.de um 31,54 DM vorbestellt werden. Hier eine kurze Beschreibung:

Unter Extra [Link nicht mehr aktuell] findet man jetzt das neue Coma White Video als MPEG oder RealVideo zum downlaoden. Dieses wurde zum ersten mal vor einigen Wochen auf MTV gespielt und kommt auf dem "God Is In The TV" Video am 15. November raus.

Marilyn Manson wird bei den diesjährigen MTV Europe Music Awards auftreten und ist auch für die Kategorie Best Rock 99 nominiert. Dies wurde mir heute von MTV Deutschland bestätigt.
